Mauves and purples were those colours I used to stay away from because i used to think those colours are Gonna look truly horrible on me But I recently got attracted towards them when i noticed that my Natural lip colour has mauve undertones so i thought of giving mauve a try and voilaaa i was impressed!!
The lipstick I am talking about is from the Colorburst Range of Revlon and its called Mauve.
Price : INR 600 to 630 (price differs for different shades as i saw on nykaa.com)
This product comes in a black sturdy case with some detailing on it and Revlon written on the middle with silver colour. Inside the case Revlon is also Ingraved on the lipstick which actually looks classy. packaging simply looks chic and stylish and i love it.It doesn't get open by its own as the lid fits very tightly to the tube.
The shade name as you can see from the title is mauve and it isn't a true mauve and has some magenta tints to it which makes it look a little pinkish sometimes.Though the colour suits almost all the Indian skincolour and it doesn't look harsh again my skin (as normally any dark shade would).
The texture of the lipstick is very smooth and light.You literally doesn't feel like you are wearing something on your lips.It doesn't give you an opaque finish in one coat and you need to layer on 2 to 3 coats to get the desired intensity.
The lipstick stays on the lips for a maximum time of 2 to 3 hours depends how many layers you add on and this is the only issue i am having with the lipstick. I am so glad that this lipstick doesn't sets into fine lines like some lipstick do which doesn't look nice and this lipstick doesn't bleeds also.
It doesn't leave any tint behind and this is a positive point for me as my lips have pigmentation around the corner and those tints just doesn't look nice on me.(To be very specific i don't like these but if you have normal lips with no pigmentation thats gonna suits you)
Apart from the staying power i am pretty impressed with this lipstick and would recommend this to everyone.
