Maybelline launched their New Electro pop lip balms last year and i had to try these so i bought one.
The thing i was the most excited about was the packaging of the product.so finally they have brought the same packaging in India which i used to see on Internet.
Maybelline has launched the electro pops in four shades
- Pink Shock, Berry Bomb, Oh Orange & Fierce N Tangy
The one i bought was Pink shock as i heard so many good things about it.
price: INR 165
All the shades have a tint in it except one which iss called Fierce and Tangy. That one is yellow in colour which doesn't shows up on the lips.
The product comes in a black retractable tube with a transparent lid and you will see the logo and product name on the lid written in the same colour which you will find inside.
Pink shock is a very true hot pink coloured lip balm and the formula contains shea butter and vitamin E. The product glides on like butter on your lips and the texture is so thin and moisturising.
My experience with the previous lip balm from Maybelline was not that good in terms of Pigmentation but this product will not let you down. I haven't tried other variants from the electro pop collection but this has amazing Pigmentation and all you need is one single coat and you are done.
The product does make your lips more soft and prevent from dryness to some extent but you need to apply it regularly.
In the above hand swatch i have applied only one coat. now you can see it is so pigmented.
And it is just a lip balm so you can't expect an opaque finish with this neither the company claims that. Company says that it does provide a very sheer tint of colour with a shine which is true.
However if you have pigmented lips then you might not like this unless you don't care about the Pigmentation that shows through which i don't like and this is one's personal choice and preference.
I have pigmented lips and this is the only issue with me.
The staying power of the lip balm is average one and you need to reapply it after every 2 3 hours.

If you look closely at the pictures you will find that darkness on the corners of the lips and the colour is a little lighter in the middle, it is because as i said i have Pigmentation on the sides of my lips which makes the corners look darker than the rest of the lip but it is not noticeable.
I love this colour but not on myself as i am a sucker of nude colours.
In closing i would like to say yeah this is a good product if you are a teenager or a college student or if you just don't like to use lipsticks on daily basis you can definitely try this one as it will moisturise as well as add that something extra without looking too much.
