How to Choose The Right Foundation for your Face?

Helloo everyone!!

A perfect base is the most important thing when it comes to makeup or anything like painting the walls or building a house or whatever and in makeup i guess this is the thing which is mostly neglected by people so here i am today will be showing you the importance of a perfect base and how you can find the one for you!

What kind of foundation you should go for depends on various factors including skintype, skintone, skin colour or skin conditions or your personal choices or concerns!!

For instance if you have dry skin then its better to go for a cream or liquid foundation because these foundations doesn't dry out much the face and if you have oily skin then you can even go for powder foundations because powders tends to absorb most of the oil and keep the face matte!

If you have got a pretty good skin free of spots and blemishes then you can go with a foundation which gives you very sheer coverage and if you wanna hide your imperfections you can go for one which gives you medium to full coverage although in my opinion its better to go for a medium coverage foundation and if you find some spots are still isn't covered you can go for concealers to hide those as i don't like to apply too heavy foundations and if those not applied carefully can make you look cakey!!

Leaving all the other concerns here we are taking into consideration only one factor which is the skin colour and how one can pick the right foundation for their skincolour.

So the very first tip for choosing the right foundation would be not testing the foundation on your wrist!!

The reason being the colour of our wrist is much fairer than our face colour and if you put a lighter foundation on your face then its not gonna look natural and will look too made up and sometimes we end up looking like a clown :p

Next thing people match the colour of their face and foundation which sometimes can give you the right results but not always because we have so many colours on our face due to pigmentation or redness etc and that way iybecome a little complicated to know the true colour!!

I have heard from the people that you should match the foundation to your forehead colour for which i have no comment as i can't find any logic behind this technique!

The best place to test the foundation would be your jaw line and match it to the neck and chest area

When you next time go to purchase a foundation, Apply the foundation as shown in image and blend and see which colour blends properly into the skin and look like the skin and that would be your right shade
if the shade appear too light or wrong when compare to the face and especially jaw line then that isn't a right shade for you

Now you must be thinking why i am matching the shade to my neck and chest!!! Right??
Reason being because when we see people we dont see only their head and if i wear a foundation which is matching to my face but not with the colour of my neck and chest (which most of the time tends to be a different colour than the face ) then the face will look weird as it isn't matching to the rest of the body and its easy to play with a smaller area(face) than to change the colour of the whole body!

So that is the main reason why i suggest you guys to match the foundation colour to your neck and chest so that the whole body colour looks same and symmetrical and the foundation blends into the colour of the body making the whole area appear same and one colour!
So that is it for today's post and i hope you learned something new and this was helpful for you! and if i am wrong anywhere then please feel free to correct me :D i won't get offended because i am always ready to learn and increase my knowledge :D
