Hello girls!
Sorry for not posting since a very long time but i was not well (was hospitalised!) but now i am back and was very much excited to get back to my work which i absolutely love! :D yay posting again!
Today i am not reviewing any product but it is a very basic but very important aspect of makeup which is how to make the makeup last for a very long time!
We all buy high end brand products just in the hopes that it is gonna last long and expect so so much from them and end up getting disappointed and talking around this product is not good, not worth buying n blah blah! but it is not the product always which is wrong, sometimes it is what we are doing before and after applying makeup which makes a huge difference!
Apart from those primers and setting sprays and setting powders available we should take care of some very basic things which makes a tons of difference!
I am listing down below some common mistakes we guys make and we should take care of that and i can promise you guys will see a difference :D and to be very specific it is for beginners and not a pro level post so that everyone can understand it!
1.Buy products which are for your skin type! Yes this is the most common mistake we all make! Buy products whicha re suitable for your skin type but first get to know what skin type you are!
We have main 3 skin types
1.normal
2.oily
3.combination!
Normal skin type is the most blessed skin type because they can experiment with most of the products available :D
Oily skin beauties should opt for products which are tested for keeping oil away so that they feel comfortable throughout the day!
Combination skin type is also very common! if you get oil only around your nose, chin area and forehead and rest of your face is normal to slightly dry then you have a combination skin!
I think i should write a separate post on this because it is very technical topic and i can write so much on this :p but for this post i am just trying to say check the product if that is suitable for your skin type or not before buying!
2.check the compatibility between your foundation and moisturiser or primer whatever! :p now please dont shut because this is the most important step and the reason why i am writing this whole post!
I know it sounds a lil weird but this is the mistake we all people make normally most of the time!
Let me get straight into this!
So what we do when we start applying makeup! we first load up our face with a moisturiser and then a primer and then foundation! nothing wrong in this but wait something was wrong :p we never ever check the ingredients list which makes the whole lot of difference!
So foundation and moisturisers comes in two types!
One is water based and the other variant is oil based!
So now the question is how do we get to know that a particular product is either water based or oil based and what is the relationship of this with long lasting makeup!
The thing is very basic that water and oil are not compatible at all with each other and they don't get mixed!
For instance if your foundation is oil based and your moisturiser is water based or vice versa no matter what you do its not gonna last long as the foundation will slip away because oil and water are not compatible!
So try choosing a foundation and moisturiser of same variant! Either both water based or both oil based!!
So now the question arises that how do we get to know that a product is either oil based or water based!
Grab your foundation or moisturiser and try reading first four five ingredients from the ingredient list.
If you can see water at the very first and some oils name at the end then your product is water based but if some oils are listed on the top then it is an oil based product! Basically the companies write the name of the ingredient which are heavily used at the top and the least used at the end!
So the first four five products name will tell you the whole thing :D
3.last but not the least! Set your makeup properly :D simple and easy! i am gonna post a separate post on how to set your makeup and what products you guys can use to set your makeup!
I hope you like this post! :D if you do please leave any comments or suggestions or feedback below :D i love your replies so much! And don't forget to follow me on my social networking sites!
